I found the previous black-bean-dyed wool. That's it on the left. So despite the things I did differently, there's not a lot of difference - oh well! What to make with it though, that's the question..

At least on my monitor, the baking soda version looks a teensy bit greener. Both are lovely.
A shawl?
That's a good idea :-). Black bean dye is supposed to be not that light fast so I was trying to think of indoor uses, but actually I mostly wear my-only-shawl-so-far when I'm reading in bed. Need to work our meterage..
